Ethylene diamine (EDA) is an organic compound with the chemical formula H2N(CH2)2NH2. It is a colorless liquid with a strong, ammonia-like odor. EDA is used as a building block in the synthesis of various chemicals such as polyamides, polyurethanes, and chelating agents.
