Tetrasodium EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid tetrasodium salt) is a chelating agent with the chemical formula C10H12N2O8Na4. It is a white, crystalline powder that is highly soluble in water. Like other EDTA salts, Tetrasodium EDTA is used in a wide range of industrial, agricultural and domestic applications. It is used as a sequestrant in cleaning and laundry products, in water treatment, and in the food industry as a preservative and a color stabilizer.
